Przystanek Olsztyn

Do you love travelling? Fall in love with Olsztyn and the nearby towns and villages. Stay here for a while. Spend your holiday here, your winter break, your time off work – as you please. We have prepared a subjective guide providing short descriptions of the most interesting places in Olsztyn and the region. You will find here attractions for children, teenagers, university students and adult travellers.

Olsztyn is far from the hustle and bustle, which can be a huge advantage for people who treasure beautiful but quiet places. Although it is a big city (almost 200,000 inhabitants) and the capital of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, thanks to a dozen lakes located within its boundaries, numerous forests and parks, Olsztyn is an ideal place to relax. There is a beautiful castle, which was defended by Nicolaus Copernicus (did you know that this famous astronomer was into military engineering?), and a majestic Gothic cathedral. You will learn more about these places in part of our guide titled ‘Olsztyn’.

You will be surprised to find out that there are countless interesting places around Olsztyn. You can visit them on your one-day trips. It will take you less than an hour to get to various attractive Warmian or Masurian towns. Information about them is presented in part of our guide titled Region.

The guide is available in Polish, English and German.

Everyone is welcome at any time of the year!
